Australian F4 Academy and racing team AGI Sport capped a big weekend of driver titles, first wins and podiums by winning the team title at the final round of the F4 Southeast Asian Championship in Sepang.
The final round of the revitalized championship weekend began with 16-year-old Australian Jack Beeton taking his first international junior formula title in Race 1, before Nicolas Stati took his first international win in Race 2, while Peter Bouzinelos took his first international podium finish in the 2019 race 3.
The big points win saw the Sydney-based squad draw level with European team ART Grand Prix, only to win the team title on countdown race wins, with Beeton contributing two of those victories in the first round in China at the Zhuzhou International Circuit.

It's a huge moment for the continued positive growth of the AGI Sport Academy – led by its talisman Adam Gotch – as the team is now poised to lead the revitalized Australian F4 Championship.
“Thank you to all the team members and drivers who worked so hard to win the team title,” said Gotch.
“Peter (Bouzinelos) also took his first podium with a third place in the last race here in Sepang today, while his teammates Beeton and Stati finished the last race in fifth and sixth place…well done guys.”
Gotch and the AGI team have been committed to the interests of young Australians around the world in 2023, from leading the technical side of the Ferrari Driver Academy in the Pacific to supporting drivers in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

In Stati's big win in the second race, his teammate Bouzinelos actually started from pole position in the reverse grid (top ten).
Bouzinelos lost the lead early on to Chinese youngster Kevin Xiao, who took the lead before the #46 Australian driver regained it with a sensational maneuver outside Turn 4.
During a restart, the two tires collided, causing the Australian to suffer a puncture. Since Xiao suffered damage and then received a penalty, Stati was ahead of the winner of the first race, Doriane Pin and Beeton.
The young Stati held the lead for two more close laps in the No. 15 AGI sports car before the race was again ended by a safety car and the young driver took his first international F4 victory, capping a great series for the team .

In races two and three, another young Australian named Lincoln Taylor also put in a great performance in his first international F4 weekend.
Driving for Hong Kong-based BlackArts Racing, Taylor finished fourth in both Race 2 and Race 3, which also meant he and Bouzinelos also took the final two spots on the rookie podium.
