NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — North Dakota lawmakers are also considering sweeping reform that would explain an old sports part of North Dakota.
State Senator Sean Cleary, along with Rep. Jason Docktor, has drafted a bill calling on the legislature to make curling the official sport of North Dakota.
Winter sports are practiced across the country, with clubs of active members of all ages.

Curling is played in teams that push heavy stones, aiming to land more stones in the ‘house’ than their opponents, with the stones closest to the button.
The bill was presented to the Senate on Thursday.
“We have the most curling clubs per capita of any state in the country,” Senator Cleary said. “I think it speaks to the uniqueness of the sport in a rural state like ours that winters can be a bit long.”
So far, the bill has not made it through both houses of the Capitol.
