The basketball league’s Twitter account has taken advantage of the Blues’ recent trip to the sport’s heartland, the United States.
Since American star Pulisic was part of Chelsea’s roster during his time in the United States, the NBA tweeted a photo of his jersey alongside Orlando Magic basketballer RJ Hampton.
Hampton’s jersey, with his number 13, was lined up next to Pulisic’s number 10 on the football pitch.
Also attached is a photo of the two athletes with their arms around each other while Pulisic dons one of Chelsea’s 2022/23 training tops.
Chelsea’s account quote tweeted the original, adding: “Blue is the colour”, a nod to the two teams sharing the same kit colors.

Chelsea could have a stronger connection with the US after American owner Todd Boehly bought the club in May after Roman Abramovich was forced to sell the club due to UK sanctions.
Boehly also owns a portion of the NBA team Los Angeles Lakers as well as the MLB team the LA Dodgers as part of his diverse portfolio.
The Blues travel to Italy after that pre-season tour of the United States to take on Udinese from Serie A in their last friendly before the start of the 2022/23 Premier League season.
