Girls flag football is officially a high school sport in Illinois – Chicago Tribune

Hello, Chicago.

Kwang-Wu Kim, president and CEO of Columbia College Chicago, will resign from his position days after telling the Faculty Senate in an announcement that the college will soon begin a process to evaluate its financial situation, which could determine whether whether full-time lecturers are employed with tenure will be laid off. The news also follows a fall semester that was significantly impacted by a historic seven-week strike by part-time faculty members.

Girls Flag Football Is Officially a High School Sport in Illinois: 'This Is Just the Beginning of Greatness'

Some rideshare drivers in Chicago took part in the Valentine's Day strike, but for many it was business as usual

About 100 rideshare drivers gathered in the rideshare parking lot at O'Hare International Airport midday Wednesday to protest working conditions. However, because there was no widespread strike, many travelers had no trouble getting rides. Read more here.

The shooting after the Chiefs' Super Bowl celebration appeared to stem from an argument between several people, police say

Police Chief Stacey Graves said the 22 people injured in the shooting ranged in age from 8 to 47, with half of them under 16. A mother of two children was also killed. Read more here.
