“It’s pretty exciting to get a call from SRX inviting me to race on clay at Lucas Oil Speedway next week with some of the best drivers in the country from such diverse racing backgrounds,” said Davenport.
Davenport also won the $1 million dirt late model event at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio last season.
“SRX wins with Jonathan Davenport getting into one of our cars at Lucas Oil Speedway,” said Don Hawk, SRX Chief Executive Officer. “He’s a multiple champion who excels in big racing scenarios. I expect him to do the same when he competes against some of the best at Lucas Oil Speedway.”
In April, Davenport took part in the Bristol Dirt Race at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Cup Series for Kaulig Racing. After damage to his racing car, he finished 36th.
