Clayton Tune will be the one starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals when the team takes on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, the team confirmed Saturday afternoon.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the news.
The week leading up to the game was full of speculation about the position. There was speculation that Tune would start, especially after Joshua Dobbs — who started for the club in Weeks 1 through 8 — was traded to the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday.

However, it wasn’t clear: time is running out for Kyler Murray, the incumbent QB1, to be activated from the physically unable to perform list. He participated fully in practice for the second straight week and was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report but was not activated Saturday.
The team re-signed quarterback Jeff Driskel to the practice squad on Wednesday and named him to the active roster on Saturday. He was with the team during pre-season but was released on October 20 as Murray began his training window. He entered the camp with Colt McCoy, David Blough and Tune.
As for Tune, He joined the Cardinals as a fifth-round pick from Houston in 2023. He has made one professional pass in his career, on a trick play, for four yards.
