In a season marred once again by pandemic restrictions, Cheer Sport Sharks Orillia refused to rest. Instead, they rose to the challenge by putting policies and procedures in place to keep everyone safe and informed at every step. The all-star cheerleading gym welcomed over 85 athletes across six competitive teams with athletes ranging in age from 3 to 17 years.
Throughout the season, teams traveled to competitions across the province, with each individual demonstrating strong advancement in skill, performance and dedication to the sport.
Biggest runs of the season included a third place finish at Winterfest by the Electro Sharks and Bamboo Sharks, and a commanding performance by the Valley Sharks that earned them a second place overall! At the Nationals, every participating team gave it their all and held nothing back against some of the best teams in the country. Their unwavering desire to build and improve on this season results in new teams in development for the upcoming season!
While the 2021-2022 season has come to an end, preparations for the 2022-2023 season are in full swing with tryout dates announced for all ages and skill levels. No previous experience is required and each athlete participating in tryouts is assigned to a team.
