The road to Istanbul begins with the Champions League group stage draw.
BT Sport will stream the draw live as the British clubs discover their opponents for the group stage which begins on Tuesday 6 September.
Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Celtic and Rangers are in the lead, with Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team qualifying after beating PSV in two play-off legs.
Real Madrid were crowned European champions for the 14th time when they beat Liverpool 1-0 in Paris in May and Los Blancos will be among the favorites again this year.
Eintracht Frankfurt is also there after beating Rangers in last season’s Europa League final.

When will the 2022/23 Champions League draw take place?
The draw will take place on Thursday 25th August in Istanbul, Turkey, the site of the season finale.
The Ataturk Olympic Stadium will host the showpiece in June, 17 years after the city hosted Liverpool’s glorious victory over AC Milan in the 2005 final.

What are the pots for the Champions League draw?
Pot 1 consists of the Champions League and Europa League holders and the champions of the top six nations excluding Spain and Germany. Pots 2 through 4 are determined by the club coefficient rankings.
As usual, teams from the same association cannot be drawn into the same group.
