BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – Cameron Zuliani of Buckhannon-Upshur High School is used to being a multi-sport athlete and will now continue that at Merrimack College.
Zuliani signed to continue her swimming and track career with the Warriors’ Division I programs.
“My father’s family is from New England and he used to live in Connecticut before he moved here, and I’ve just always wanted to come back to this area,” Zuliani said.
The BU four-athlete excels in every track card she’s separated from, but ultimately chose swimming and discus as the two she wanted to continue at the collegiate level.
For Zuliani, there was a lot to like about Merrimack, including the fact that her new trainer could relate to her.
“After I spoke to the coach it kind of all fell into place and I really fell in love with the campus and the students and the coach really worked with us and she was also a dual athlete in college so she was open to the idea of me.” do both. I’m really excited to go somewhere else for a while and see what happens,” Zuliani said.
Zuliani finished her swimming career in high school as a Big 10 Conference, Regional, and State Champion at their respective events.
She also excels on the track and was runner-up in discus last season.
