The Birmingham Bulls secured three wins in the opening weekend of the inaugural British Kabaddi League in Wolverhampton.
The Bulls contributed to Saturday’s win over Wolverhampton Wolfpack with an 80-15 win over the Leicester Warriors and a 53-16 triumph over the Edinburgh Eagles.
Edinburgh had a much closer game against the Glasgow Unicorns the previous Sunday but went down 54-47.
The Manchester Raiders proved too strong for the London Lions and won 52-31.
The Raiders also beat the Glasgow Unicorns on Saturday. They host the second weekend of BKL in Oldham on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th April before teams head to Birmingham (23rd-34th April) and then Glasgow (30th April-1st May) for the finals ) to travel.
Matches in the new league, which aims to increase the appeal of South Asian sport in the UK, will be streamed worldwide on the ` Sport website and ` iPlayer.
