Hamzah Sheeraz now has 15 stoppages in 19 fights
Middleweight Hamzah Sheeraz defeated Liam Williams in one round in an unstoppable performance in London.
The Brit extended his unbeaten record to 19 fights and dropped Williams twice thanks to his blistering speed.
Sheeraz, 24, made good on his promise by stopping Williams, a former world championship challenger.
“I had a lot of doubters going into this fight [who] “I thought I couldn’t keep up with this caliber of fighter,” Sheeraz said.
“I talk in the ring. When I come in here, I entertain.”
Sheeraz's hard jab and powerful punches were too much for the Welshman, who went down shortly after the first minute and fell again moments later after a brilliant counter-uppercut.
Promoter Frank Warren celebrated ringside with Sheeraz as one of his brightest young stars put in the best performance of his career against his most dangerous opponent yet.
Warren suggested his compatriot Chris Eubank Jr. as Sheeraz's next opponent and heaped praise on his fighter.
“He reminds me a lot of Tommy Hearns with that jab. He finishes you off with it. The power he has with it is incredible,” Warren said.
“I truly believe a star is born and I truly believe he will win a world title and hold that title for as long as he wants.”

Anthony Yarde improved his record to 25 wins and only three defeats
On the undercard at the Copper Box Arena, Anthony Yarde moved closer to a meeting with his long-time rival Joshua Buatsi with a quick win over Marko Nikolic.
Buatsi watched from ringside as Yarde knocked Nikolic away in three rounds thanks to some well-placed and powerful body shots.
The 32-year-old Yarde improved his impressive knockout record to 24 stoppages in 25 wins.
Buatsi accompanied Yarde to his post-fight ringside interview and immediately apologized for ruining his moment, but both men confirmed that talks were underway for a fight this summer.
“We both agreed we could do it,” Yarde said.
“(Artur) Beterbiev’s fight (Dmitry) Bivol – if me and Joshua could fight for one [potentially vacant] World championship title, that's the icing on the cake.
