Premium and luxury car maker BMW India announced the launch of its X7 SUV, a new and exclusive trim offered only with the 40i M Sport variant. This SUV was priced at €1.2 crores (ex-showroom) and the automaker would only bring 10 units of the X7 40i M Sports Years M Edition to India.
Specifically, the X range of BMW includes SUVs and coupe SUVs. It is a flagship SUV from BMW. The sheer size of the X7 draws a lot of attention on the streets. When the X7 launched, the massive kidney grille up front was controversial, but now things are looking good to people. The German automaker is reportedly already working on a facelifted model of the X7.
The X7 Series SUV is offered with a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged, six-cylinder engine. It can produce 340 hp maximum power and 450 Nm maximum torque. This SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds. The car is fitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission with three modes, comfort-oriented, sport-oriented or route-optimized. Interestingly, the driver can also change individual parameters of the engine, suspension, steering wheel, chassis, traction control and brakes. The BMW X7 series has three predefined driving modes: Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus.
In terms of safety, the BMW X7 is equipped with six airbags, an electric parking brake with auto-hold, dynamic stability control, side impact protection, a crash sensor, cornering brake control and attentive assistance. It also has a surround view camera, park assist plus and reversing assist on offer.
As a reminder, the German automaker recently launched the “50 Years M Edition” of the 6 Series and M4 Competition Coupé. Both cars were launched in limited editions in India. Additionally, the “50 Years M Edition” was launched to celebrate the glorious 50 years of BMW’s M division, which is actually a sub-brand that handles all of the German automaker’s performance-oriented vehicles. The BMW M4 Competition 50 Years M Edition is available in the colors Macao Blue and Imola Red.
