On Friday 21st October the Victoria State Government launched the Community Sport Emergency Flood Assistance Program to provide assistance to those affected by the recent floods in Victoria.
A $5.2 million community sports flood relief program has been set up to help directly affected sports clubs across the state, helping them cover some initial upfront costs for replacing items and equipment to help communities so get back on the field as soon as possible
$5,000 one-time grants are available to help replace lost, damaged, or destroyed items. The program is now open for applications and will remain open until January 13, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. or until funding is exhausted.

Municipal Sports Emergency Program to Support Flooding Municipalities across the state are still experiencing severe flooding, with more rain in the coming days risking higher water levels and flash flooding — both threats to public health.
Football Victoria, along with other sporting bodies and the Victoria State Government, have joined a working group to continue advocacy for those affected by the floods.
