Two P2P lending platforms plan to go public

jakarta Two peer-to-peer lending platforms are preparing to issue shares for the first time in the near future, a Financial Services Authority (OJK) official said on Tuesday.

One of them was identified as Akselerasi Usaha Indonesia, popularly known as Akseleran, but the name of the other company was not disclosed until the OJK licensing process.

“The company’s valuation is roughly between 300-360 billion rupees ($20-24 million),” OJK Commissioner Inarno Djajadi told reporters in Jakarta, referring to the unnamed P2P lending platform.

Meanwhile, Akseleran previously announced plans to conduct an IPO to raise Rs.358 billion in fresh capital.

Akseleran CEO and co-founder Ivan Nikolas Tambunan said the company will offer 2.98 billion shares at a price of 100 to 120 rupees per share at its public debut on Aug. 1-7.

“It will be a proud moment in the company’s history. Akseleran Group has been operating a digital lending service via a marketplace lending platform since October 2017. In the sixth year of our Indonesian operations, Akseleran Group will reach the ultimate point of going public and being listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange,” said Ivan.

Akseleran will be given the AKSL market code after the IPO.
