Stock market news today | Sensex, Nifty, Stock Quotes LIVE: Domestic benchmark indexes BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 traded in the green on Monday. The BSE Sensex was up 300 points and the NSE Nifty 50 index was above 17250. There was weakness in the broader markets as well, with the Nifty MidCap 100 and Nifty SmallCap 100 indices falling as much as 0.2 per cent. Meanwhile, the Indian VIX, the volatility gauge, climbed over 4 percent. Apart from Nifty Bank, which started trading in the green, all other sectors opened in the red. The Nifty Metal Index declined the most, over 1 percent in trading. Axis Bank, Bajaj Auto, IndusInd Bank, Infosys and Adani Ports were among the key Nifty winners on the Nifty, while Tata Steel, ONGC, Reliance Industries, JSW Steel and Apollo Hospitals were the laggards.
