By Stephen Nakrose

The special purpose acquisition company Grandview Capital Acquisition Corp. filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission to withdraw its proposed IPO.

The company said it was requesting the withdrawal “due to unfavorable market conditions.”

Grandview Capital Acquisition Corp. filed for a $300 million IPO in December 2021. At the time, the company announced that it planned to focus its search for a first merger on companies in the food industry.

Rajiv Singh, executive chairman of SPAC, is a managing partner at Grandview Capital Partners, said Grandview Capital Acquisition.
