Singapore cell therapy biotech with off-the-shelf ambitions completes modest IPO – Endpoints News

More than two years after Hasten Biopharma entered the Chinese biopharma scene with a $322 million deal for five drugs from Takeda, Hasten Biopharma has landed $315 million to fuel future acquisitions.

CBC Group, the investment firm that helped set up the company, is again at the head of the round, along with Abu Dhabi-based sovereign wealth fund Mubadala, which is leading a number of institutional investors.

Hasten is based in Hefei, a five-hour drive east of China’s biotech hub in Shanghai, and has built a team of more than 700 people since its inception in 2020, according to its website.
