Ryanair partners with Neste to operate SAF flights from Schiphol | International magazine for biofuels

Ryanair announced a partnership with Neste to operate around a third of its flights at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) on a 40 percent blend of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
This mix will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by over 60% and support Ryanair’s Pathway to Net Zero decarbonization targets by 2050.
Ryanair has already taken this commitment significantly, working with Trinity College Dublin to open the Ryanair Sustainable Aviation Research Center and investing US$22 billion (€20 billion) in its ‘Gamechanger’ fleet.
That said Ryanair’s sustainability director Thomas Fowler: “We are delighted to announce this landmark deal with Neste, which will see Ryanair offer this new 40% SAF blend.
“SAF is a cornerstone of our Pathway to Net Zero decarbonization strategy by 2050, and this new blend will power a third of Ryanair’s flights at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by over 60%. We look forward to expanding our partnership with Neste as we work toward our goal of operating 12.5% of Ryanair flights with SAF by 2030.”
