Posted at 10:31 am – Corn is down 11 cents a bushel in July, soybeans are down 32 1/2 cents in July, KC wheat is down 8 1/2 cents in July, Chicago wheat is in July Down 16 1/4 cents and Minneapolis Wheat down 16 1/4 cents in July is down 2 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 201.84 points and Crude Oil is down $0.27 a barrel in June. The US dollar index is up 0.160 and gold is down $17.20 an ounce in June. The grain and soybean markets are all sharply lower, with soybeans and bean oil leading the decline in July. A combination of fast planting pace, favorable weather and negative market influences are weighing on the markets. Both equity and energy markets are in the red on pessimistic expectations for the US economy.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 135.13 points and crude oil is up $0.31 a barrel in June. The US Dollar Index is down 0.050 and Gold is down $8.60 an ounce in June. Soybeans and soymeal are leading the decline, pressured by better-than-expected planting progress, a largely clear forecast and external pressures.
Posted at 11:30 am – June live cattle down $0.28 to $164.05, August feed cattle up $0.53 to $231.575, June lean hogs up $0.50 to 86, Up $65, in July corn is down 11 1/4 cents a bushel and in July soybean meal is down $5.60. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 200.48 points. Again cheaper corn prices are helping the livestock complex to recover until midday. As of this writing, no cash cattle trade has been reported and it looks like the week’s business could wait until Wednesday or later to develop.
Posted 8:34 AM — Live cattle up $0.05 in June to $164.375, feed cattle in August up $0.25 to $231.3, lean hogs up $0.58 to $86.725 in June , Corn is down 7 1/2 cents a bushel in July and Soybean Meal is down $4.40 in July. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 145.76 points. Both lean hog and forage contracts are trading higher at the start of Tuesday, but the livestock market is still hesitant. Corn prices are trending down as Tuesday dawns, which should only boost confidence in the livestock sector.
