Posted at 10:35 am – July Corn up 7 1/2 cents a bushel, July Soybeans down 1 1/2 cents, July KC Wheat down 1 3/4 cents, July Chicago -Wheat is down 3 1/2 cents and Minneapolis wheat is up 2 cents in July. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 78.03 points and crude oil is down $0.75 a barrel in June. The US Dollar Index is down 0.090 and Gold is down $12.40 an ounce in June. Wednesday morning grain and soybean markets are mixed with corn very firm in July and soymeal higher while wheat and soybeans are mostly lower. There is very little news but some outside pressure is bouncing back after stocks rallied on better inflation news but are now moving lower along with Crude Oil.
Posted at 8:40 am – Corn in July is down 1/2 cent a bushel, Soybeans in July are up 1/4 cent, KC Wheat in July is down 14 1/4 cents, Chicago Wheat in July is down 12 1/4 cents and Minneapolis in July wheat is down 9 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 194.77 points and crude oil is down $0.75 a barrel in June. The US Dollar Index is down 0.180 and Gold is down $3.20 an ounce in June. Grains and soybean markets remain mixed to mostly lower, but far from the lows, buoyed by better-than-expected CPI numbers showing inflation at 4.9% – the lowest in two years. Soybean meal has turned positive after falling to its lowest level since December 2022.
OMAHA (DTN) – June live cattle are down $0.20 to $163.725, August feed cattle are down $0.33 to $225.8, June lean hogs are down $0.25 to $84.65 $up, corn is up 9 1/2 cents a bushel in July and soybean meal is up $1.40 in July. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 154.70 points. At this point in time, no offer has developed on the market for cattle, nor are price expectations even available. It looks like the weekly business will be delayed until Thursday.
Posted at 08:37 – Live cattle down $0.10 in June to $163.825, feed cattle down $0.18 to $225.95 in August, lean hogs down $0.05 to $84.35 in June , corn in July at 1 cent a bushel and soybean meal in July at $1.20. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 190.37 points. The livestock market is trading mixed again as traders look for support. Trade in cattle could develop later on Wednesday, but it’s equally likely that feedlots will hold cattle sales until Thursday or later to try to at least hold steady prices.
