Posted at 10:36 am – July Corn is down 15 1/4 cents a bushel, July Soybeans are down 23 cents, July KC Wheat is down 5 3/4 cents, July Chicago Wheat is up down 20 1/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat is down 8 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 16.38 points and crude oil is down $1.71 a barrel in June. The US dollar index is up 0.320 and gold is down $0.80 an ounce in June. It’s a veritable sea of reds on agricultural commodities charts as corn, soybeans, grist and Chicago wheat melt. Better than expected planting progress and favorable weather forecasts are putting the markets under pressure.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 89.28 points and crude oil is down $1.01 a barrel in June. The US dollar index is up 0.410 and gold is down $0.30 an ounce in June. The USDA reports another cancellation of a previous purchase of US corn by China – canceled 272,000 mt (10.7 mb) for 2022-23. Corn, soybeans, soybean meal and Chicago wheat are under heavy selling pressure early Tuesday. A faster than expected planting pace and a favorable weather forecast are weighing on the markets.
Posted 11:34 — Live cattle in June are up $0.55 to $162.975, feed cattle in August are up $1.43 to $224.525, lean hogs in June are up $1.05 to $84.35 up, corn is down 11 1/2 cents a bushel in July and soybean meal is down $5.10 in July. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 60.31 points. With corn prices trending down $0.11-$0.16 by noon Tuesday, cattle contracts are mostly higher. No cash cattle trade has developed at this time and no trade is likely to develop until Wednesday or later.
Posted 08:34 — Live cattle in June are up $0.10 to $162.525, feed cattle in August are up $0.38 to $223.475, lean hogs in June are up $0.45 to $82.85 corn is down 12 3/4 cents a bushel in July and soybean meal is down $6.30 in July. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 91.02 points. Lean hog and livestock contracts are trading lower to start Tuesday, but forage cattle contracts are holding on to Monday’s motivated nature. Barvieh bids are not being offered at this time and trading is likely to be delayed to Wednesday or later.
