Posted at 10:35 am – July Corn is up 1/4 cent a bushel, July Soybeans are up 2 1/2 cents, July KC Wheat is up 5 1/4 cents, July Chicago Wheat is up 3/4 cents up and July Minneapolis wheat is up 12 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 160.84 points and crude oil in June is up $1.54 a barrel. The US Dollar Index is down 0.010 and Gold is up $0.70 an ounce in June. Things are firming up Friday morning, with old corn futures now higher, while durum wheat markets are rising after eight consecutive days of lower closes. Soybeans and bean oil are also higher. All markets are technically very oversold, with funds getting easier on sells.

Posted at 8:37 am – July Corn is down 6 1/4 cents a bushel, July Soybeans are up 5 cents, July KC Wheat is down 1 cent, July Chicago Wheat is up 2-1 /2 cents down and July Minneapolis wheat is up 3 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 76.89 points and crude oil is up $0.05 a barrel in June. The US dollar index is up 0.320 and gold is down $1.10 an ounce in June. Corn continues to fall amid heavy selling pressure as funds appear to add to a short position. Soybeans, soy flour and Minneapolis wheat are slightly higher at the beginning. We’ll see if the funds are ready with liquidation on the soy market.

Posted at 11:20 am — Live cattle in June are up $0.15 to $165.35, feed cattle in August are down $0.20 to $231.375, lean hogs in June are up $1.05 Up $91.15, corn is up 2 3/4 cents a bushel in July and soybean meal is up $6.00 in July. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 228.21 points. Cash cattle trade has developed in both regions and prices are trending downwards. Dressed Northern cattle were mostly trading for $283-$285, down $3.00-$5.00 from last week’s weighted average. And live cattle from the South mainly traded at $173, down $2.00 from last week’s weighted average.

Posted at 08:41 – Live cattle are stable in June, feed cattle in August are up $0.05 to $231.625, lean hogs in June are up $0.75 to $90.85, corn is up 7 in July Down 1/2 cent a bushel and soybean meal down $0.20 in July. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 42.85 points. Livestock will trade higher for most of the first hour on Friday as traders look to the market for support. No bids have been renewed yet in the Bar Cattle Market, but more trade should develop by the end of the week. Asking prices are around $176 in the South and over $286 in the North.
