Posted at 10:32 – July Corn down 5 1/4 cents a bushel, July Soybeans up 7 1/4 cents, July KC Wheat up 3 1/2 cents, July Chicago -Wheat is down 4 1/4 cents and Minneapolis wheat is up 3 3/4 cents in July. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 21.23 points and crude oil is up $0.82 a barrel in June. The US Dollar Index is down 0.280 and Gold is up $2.60 an ounce in June. China’s cancellation of nearly 12.9MB of US corn did not help the already weak corn futures market. July corn appears to be heading for a fourth straight lower end. December corn seems to have rebounded again from the support in the $5.42-$5.43 range.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 39.80 points and crude oil is down $0.33 a barrel in June. The US Dollar Index is down 0.230 and gold is up $1.30 an ounce in June. Corn is under severe pressure, down for a fourth straight day, and wheat is down despite weekend temperatures dipping into the 20s in both the hard red and soft red wheat belts. Corn weakness comes despite pessimism over Russia’s willingness to extend the grain deal with Ukraine.
Posted on Sunday April 23 at 7:05pm CDT — Row crops got off to a quiet start after opening Sunday night. July corn is up 1 1/2 cents and July soybeans are up 1/4 cent. Temperatures fell below freezing as far north as northwest Kansas on Sunday morning and are expected to return as far south as southern Missouri and central Kentucky on Monday morning. July KC wheat is up 5 cents and July Minneapolis wheat is up 4 1/4 cents with limited rain chances Monday and Tuesday over part of the southwestern plains. June crude oil fell $0.21 and Dow Jones futures fell 72 points after the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday that Moody’s downgraded the ratings of 11 regional banks. The US Dollar Index is down 0.12 and Gold is up $4.00 in June.
Posted 11:43 — June live cattle down $0.40 to $164.125, August feed cattle down $1.23 to $228.65, June lean hogs down $0.93 to $87 up, corn is down 5 3/4 cents a bushel in July and soybean meal down $3.00 in July. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 30.02 points. The Cattle Complex is still trading lower into Monday’s midday as traders appear to be solely focused on last Friday’s Cattle on Feed report. Meanwhile, the lean hog complex is still recovering as traders appear to have enough technical support to make up for the lack of fundamental support.
Posted at 08:39 – June live cattle down $1.13 to $163.4, August feed cattle down $1.80 to $228.075, June lean hogs down $0.45 to $86.525 up, corn is down 9 cents a bushel in July and soybean meal is down $1.10 in July. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 73.55 points. Both the live and feed cattle contracts are trading sharply lower as traders decide how to react to last Friday’s Cattle on Feed report. Meanwhile, the lean pork complex continues to rally and hopes to see plenty of demand this week, particularly in the form of heavier pork cuts.
