Posted 08:32 – Corn is down 7 3/4 cents and May Soybeans are down 6 1/2 cents. May KC wheat is up 6 3/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is up 8 3/4 cents. April crude oil is up $0.99 and Dow Jones futures are down 7 points. The US Dollar Index is down 0.05 and Gold is up $4.40 in April. Corn, soybeans and soy flour are under heavy pressure to start Tuesday’s session, while wheat markets are slightly higher on poor conditions and weather issues.
OMAHA (DTN) – June live cattle are up $0.38 to $161.6, feed cattle are up $1.30 to $204.45 in May, lean hogs are up $0.03 to $91 in June Up $.45, Corn is down 7 1/4 cents a bushel and May Soybean Meal is down $6.90. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 20.84 points. After closing early Monday afternoon, both livestock and feedstock contracts are trading higher as Tuesday begins. The lean hog complex remains under pressure as traders look for better fundamental support.
