Posted at 8:33 am – Corn Corn is down 4 1/4 cents and Corn Soybeans are down 4 3/4 cents. May KC wheat is down 17 1/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is down 8 1/2 cents. April crude oil is down $0.54 and Dow Jones futures are down 6 points. The US Dollar Index is down 0.08 and Gold is up $4.20 in April. The USDA announced new corn sales: A total of 292,400 tonnes (11.5 million tonnes) of corn was sold — 110,000 tonnes (4.3 million tonnes) to Japan for 2022-23 and another 182,400 tonnes (7.2 million tonnes) to undisclosed destinations for 2022-23. The grain and soybean markets continue to trade lower and KC wheat is under pressure as the new week begins.

Posted at 7:05pm Sunday — After Sunday night open, crop prices are quiet higher. Corn is flat and corn soybeans are up 1 cent. May KC wheat is down 1/2 cent and May Minneapolis wheat is down 3/4 cent. Snow is falling across the Dakotas and Minnesota, and most of the Midwest is expecting more precipitation this week. Meanwhile, red flag warnings are being posted across the southwestern plains with temperatures in the 70s and 80s. April crude oil is down $0.27 and Dow Jones futures are down 35 points. The US Dollar Index is up 0.08 and Gold is up $2.80 in April.

OMAHA (DTN) – April live cattle are up $0.88 to $166.3, April feed cattle are up $2.95 to $198.975, April lean hogs are down $0.58 to $83.975 , Corn is down 2 1/4 cents a bushel and May Soybean Meal is up $12.10. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 140.13 points. Both livestock and forage contracts are higher towards midday. Excellent fundamental support amid tight supplies and strong beef demand has created incredibly strong prospects for both the livestock and forage markets. New show listings appear to be mixed, higher in Texas and Nebraska/Colorado.

Posted 08:37 – April live cattle down $0.28 to $165.15, April feed cattle up $0.20 to $196.225, April lean hogs up $0.33 to $84.875 , Corn is down 4 cents a bushel and May Soybean Meal is up $1.70. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 47.15 points. Livestock contracts are mostly trading higher early Monday as the market prepares for the week ahead. Fortunately, strong fundamental support has continued to encourage the contracts to continue their uptrend.
