Posted 10:30 – Corn is up 5 1/4 cents and May soybeans are up 14 1/2 cents. May KC wheat is down 3 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is down 6 3/4 cents. Crude oil in April is up $0.81 and Dow Jones futures are up 153 points. The US Dollar Index is down 0.14 and Gold is up $9.80 in April. On Friday morning, May Beans are making a valiant attempt to close above the 20-day moving average at $15.20, which could be the key to driving this rally. Soybean meal in May is already up above the 20-day index, defying all analysts saying the meal should be lower. Soy flour is trading near contract highs again. All three wheat markets have started trading lower on a day lacking in much news.

Posted 08:33 – Corn is up 1 cent and May Soybeans are up 5 1/2 cents. May KC wheat is up 1/2 cent and May Minneapolis wheat is up 3/4 cents. April crude oil is down $1.36 and Dow Jones futures are up 88 points. The US Dollar Index is down 0.29 and Gold is up $8.90 in April. In a very quiet trade, soybeans and soy flour are very firm early Friday, with the beans facing solid resistance. Corn and wheat are now fading from their early strength, with Chicago wheat under pressure.

Posted 11:38 — April live cattle are up $1.13 to $165.225, April feed cattle are up $2.08 to $195.925, April lean hogs are up $0.78 to $84.625, Corn is up 8 3/4 cents a bushel and soybean meal is up $9.40 in May. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 234.14 points. While the week is drawing to a close, there are still many moving parts that need to be completed at the cattle market before Friday ends. From observing all developments in the cash cattle market to determining if the April spot forage cattle closes at a new contract high, Friday afternoon is unlikely to be boring.

Posted 08:33 — April live cattle are up $0.13 to $164.225, April feed cattle are up $0.18 to $194.025, April lean hogs are up $0.15 to $83.7 down, corn is up 1 1/4 cents a bushel and May soybean meal is up $6.20. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 77.34 points. On Friday, the focus will be on what is developing in the cash cattle market as the trade has yet to be really tested. Some light trades were reported Thursday afternoon in the north at $262-$263, which is $1.00-$2.00 higher than last week’s weighted average, but that was a light test.
