Posted at 10:39 – Thursday morning grain prices are mixed with slightly lower wheat trading. Corn in December is down 1 cent and soybeans are up 2 1/4 cents in November. KC December wheat is down 6 1/2 cents and Minneapolis December wheat is down 2 3/4 cents, but significant rain is still not forecast for the US southwestern plains. Traders might be a bit cautious on Thursday as the USDA grain inventories report and small grain summary are due out Friday at 11:00 am CDT. The US dollar index fell 0.26 and Dow Jones futures fell 465 points, still bearish influences on commodity prices. Gold is down $3.40 in December and Crude Oil is down 5 cents in November.

Corn in December is up 2 cents and soybeans are up 8 cents in November. Last week’s export sales of corn, soybeans and wheat were all higher than last week, but total sales commitments remain below the USDA’s estimated steps for corn and wheat. December KC wheat is up 3 1/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 1 cent. Dow Jones futures are down 197 points, December US T-Bond futures are down over a point and the US Dollar Index is up 0.14. Crude Oil is up $0.34 in November and Gold is down $5.70 in December.

Posted at 11:44am – Live cattle up $0.88 in December to $147.15, feed cattle up $1.78 in November to $177.05, lean hogs up $0.93 in December to 76, $75, corn down 1/4 cent a bushel in December and soybean meal down $4.90 in December. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 424.93 points. The strong export report of the day helped cattle contracts trade higher.
