Posted 10:34 – December Corn is up 13 1/2 cents a bushel, November Soybeans are up 24 1/4 cents, December KC Wheat is up 16 3/4 cents, December Chicago Wheat is up 20 1/2 cents Minneapolis wheat in December is up 14 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 531.17 points and crude oil is down $0.41 a barrel in October. The US Dollar Index is down 0.020 and Gold is down $24.30 an ounce in December. After a day of swooning, October soybean meal futures are back higher on Friday, with beans and bean oil in tow. December corn futures are also making strong upward movement, with a possible bull flag chart pattern suggesting that higher prices may be on the way. Falling earnings ideas from USDA August estimate fuel corn gains.

Posted 8:33 AM – Corn in December is up 6 1/2 cents a bushel, Soybeans in November are up 17 1/4 cents, KC Wheat in December is down 1 1/4 cents, Chicago Wheat in December is up 2 cents and Minneapolis December wheat is down 1 3/4 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 21.19 points and crude oil is down $0.54 a barrel in October. The US Dollar Index is down 0.710 and Gold is down $7.30 an ounce in December. The USDA reported new soybean sales to unknown destinations — 146,000 t (5.4 mb) for crop year 2022-23. Between China and Unknown, that’s a total of 24.4MB of new sales this week. Soybean, flour and corn futures lead early Friday.

Posted 11:41 — October live cattle down $0.45 to $143.2, October feed cattle down $1.53 to $184, October lean hogs down $0.43 to $90.675 down, corn is up 10 1/4 cents a bushel in December and soybean meal up $12.20 in December. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 657.01 points. With the corn market rallying again, cattle contracts are being slammed back onto their heels, trending fully down by Friday afternoon. The Bar Cattle Market is unlikely to see much more cattle trading this week, so the movement ended up being pretty thin for the week.

Posted 08:37 – October live cattle up $0.35 to $144, October feed cattle down $0.20 to $185.325, October lean hogs down $0.08 to $91.025, corn in December is up 6 1/4 cents a bushel and soybean meal up $7.20 in December. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 25.47 points. As the corn market drives a rally from $0.06 to $0.07 in its nearby contracts, the feed cattle market is trending lower as Friday begins. Meanwhile, lean hog and livestock contracts are mostly trending higher, but neither market is free from looming pressure.
