Posted 8:39 AM – December Corn is down 1 cent a bushel, November Soybeans are up 14 1/2 cents, September KC Wheat is up 15 cents, September Chicago Wheat is up 9 3/4 cents up and September Minneapolis wheat is up 13 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 1.46 points and crude oil is down $0.17 a barrel in August. The US Dollar Index is down 0.160 and Gold is up $7.00 an ounce in August. December corn is now slightly lower while soybeans, soy products and wheat are notably higher. Uncertainty about the political situation in Russia and its possible impact on wheat exports has sent every wheat market higher. Monday’s crop progress report expects corn and soybean conditions to deteriorate again.

Posted Sunday June 26 at 8:38am – After Sunday night open, row crop prices are actively falling after several parts of the Northwest Plains and northern Midwest recorded favorable rains, including Iowa and parts of northern Illinois. December corn is down 11 3/4 cents and November soybeans are down 10 cents. The next five days will see only patchy areas of light to moderate rainfall, with Missouri, Illinois and Indiana remaining mostly dry as temperatures warmer over the course of the week. September KC wheat is down 5 1/2 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 6 3/4 cents. Crude oil is up $0.76 in August and Dow Jones futures are up 50 points. The US Dollar Index is down 0.15 and Gold is up $6.20 in August. Russia’s leadership appears to be in turmoil after President Putin averted a threat of insurgency by the Wagner mercenary group over the weekend.

OMAHA (DTN) – Live cattle are up $0.03 in August to $170.8, forage cattle are up $0.20 in August to $234.15, lean hogs are up $1.18 in August to 90, Up $85, Corn is down 1 1/2 cents a bushel in December and Soybean Meal is down $0.60 in December. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 41.58 points. Livestock is trading mixed during Monday lunchtime as cattle contracts attract mixed interest while lean pork area trades notably higher. The pork complex is excited for what Thursday’s Quarterly Hogs and Pigs Report reveals.

Posted 08:38 – In August live cattle down $0.55 to $170.225, in August forage cattle down $1.70 to $232.25, in August lean hogs up $1.30 to $90.975, December corn was up 3 1/4 cents a bushel and December soybean meal was up $4.30. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 21.52 points. Livestock is trading mixed while the beef sector struggles with last Friday’s Cattle on Feed report but the lean hogs sector is trading higher. Fortunately, corn prices are lower in the interest of forage, which should not add to the pressure already in the forage complex.
