Posted at 08:34 — Quotes are green across the grain sector and for most commodities following Tuesday’s 8:30 CDT open. December corn is up 15 3/4 cents and November soybeans are up 27 3/4 cents after the USDA cut good-to-excellent ratings by 3 percentage points for corn and 2 points for soybeans. September KC wheat is up 20 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 20 3/4 cents amid much skepticism as Ukraine remains committed to shipping grain from its three permitted ports. September Crude Oil is up $1.38 and Dow Jones futures are down 79 points. The US Dollar Index is up 0.52 and Gold is up $0.20 in August.
OMAHA (DTN) – October live cattle are down $0.20 to $143.15, August feed cattle are down $0.90 to $178.4, October lean hogs are down $0.33 to 93 Down $.8, December corn is up 15 1/2 cents a bushel and December soybean meal is up $6.30. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 67.06 points. As the corn complex leans into Tuesday with a rally from $0.10 to $0.16, feed cattle contracts are trending lower early in the day while live cattle and lean hog contracts are trading mixed. Some early bid prices start at around $138 in the South but are not established in the North.
