OMAHA (DTN) — Corn is up 3 3/4 cents a bushel in July, soybeans are up 5 3/4 cents in July, KC wheat is up 9 cents in July, Chicago wheat is up 4 cents in July Up 1/2 cents and Minneapolis wheat is up 4 1/2 cents in July is up 16 1/2 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 81.62 points and crude oil is down $1.30 a barrel in July. The US dollar index is down 0.730 and gold is up $22.90 an ounce in August. Minneapolis wheat futures are leading the uptrend with spot corn now higher on the day and December moving back towards flat. World markets are experiencing a variety of weather issues, with drought in the US Midwest and northern plains, flooding in China, heat and drought in northern Europe and Russian spring wheat areas being the main concerns.

Wheat is recovering somewhat early Thursday and corn is sharply down on weak export sales and the weather forecast. The soy complex is only slightly higher, with bean oil being stronger than crude oil. There will be a few showers in the upper Midwest early Thursday.
Posted 08:35 – In August live cattle are up $0.80 to $174, feed cattle in August are up $0.93 to $240.025, in July lean hogs are up 1, 03 down to $85.9, in July corn is down 4 cents a bushel and in July soybean meal is up $1.10. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 3.76 points. Beef net sales in 2023 came in at 12,800 tons, down 29% from the previous week and 27% from the previous 4-week average. The three largest customers were Japan (3,900 mt), South Korea (3,900 mt) and Mexico (1,900 mt). Net sales of 25,500 tons of pork in 2023 were up 13% from the previous week but down 11% from the previous 4-week average. The three largest buyers were Mexico (9,100 mt), China (8,100 mt) and Japan (3,200 mt).
