OMAHA (DTN) – December corn fell 1 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans rose 1/2 cent per bushel. December KC wheat is down 12 cents per bushel, December Chicago wheat is down 10 3/4 cents per bushel and December Minneapolis wheat is down 7 1/4 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 80.75 points to 33,685.40 and the U.S. dollar index fell 0.130 to 105.95, and November crude oil fell $0.20 a barrel to $86.18 . Grain and soy markets are slightly weaker in line early Tuesday as pressure comes from rising crops and weak demand. Wheat leads losses, giving up most of Monday’s gains and remaining in a choppy and sideways pattern.
OMAHA (DTN) – December live cattle are up $0.25 at $185.6, November feeder cattle are up $1.13 at $250,775, December lean hogs are up $0, Down $13 to $72.35, corn down 2 1/4 cents per bushel in December and soybean meal up $0.60 in December. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 95.24 points. The livestock complex begins trading on a positive note on Tuesday as the market appears to be looking beyond pressures outside of its immediate markets. Fundamental support was helpful for both the live cattle and lean hog markets through the end of Monday and may be partly responsible for early strength on Tuesday.
