Posted at 8:36 a.m. – December corn is up 1 1/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 8 1/4 cents per bushel. December KC wheat is down 7 1/4 cents per bushel, December Chicago wheat is down 4 cents per bushel and December Minneapolis wheat is down 7 1/4 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 179.18 points to 34,755.77 and the US dollar index fell 0.530 to 104.56 and October crude oil rose $0.40 a barrel to $87.91. The USDA announced a new sale of 185,00 tons of soybean cake and meal to the Philippines for 2023-24. Soybeans and soymeal remain steady while corn is little changed and wheat continues to decline as traders await Tuesday’s September WASDE report.
Posted Sunday, September 10th at 7:05 pm CDT – As of Sunday evening’s open, corn is down 1/4 cent in December and soybeans are up 2 cents in November due to rain in eastern Nebraska and Iowa , while the rest of the Corn Belt remained largely dry over the weekend. December KC wheat is down 3 1/2 cents as rain is expected over the next five days, which will improve planting conditions in the southwest Plains. December Minneapolis wheat is down 2 3/4 cents, with a favorable drought forecast for the remaining spring wheat crop. October crude oil prices fell $0.56 and Dow Jones futures rose 15 points. The US Dollar Index is down 0.23 and gold is down $0.60 in December.
OMAHA (DTN) – Live cattle are up $0.40 in October at $183,625, feeder cattle are up $1.20 in October at $260.35, lean hogs are up $1.28 in October at $82.8 increased, December corn was down 1/4 cent per bushel and December soybean meal was up $2.10. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 77.13 points. Last week’s negotiated cash trade totaled 56,819 animals. Of these, 78% (44,591 pieces) are for local delivery, while the remaining 22% (12,228 pieces) are for delayed delivery.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 170.26 points. After last week’s strong performance in livestock contracts, livestock traders are confident they will continue to benefit from the market’s long-term bullish outlook. Seeing exactly how many cattle were traded last week can be a helpful indication of how the spot market may perform this week.
