Posted at 10:35 a.m. – Ahead of USDA's March WASDE release, corn is down 3 1/2 cents per bushel, soybeans are down 10 3/4 cents in May, KC wheat is down 5 1 in May /4 cents up, May Chicago wheat up 5 1/2 cents and May Minneapolis wheat up 3 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 82.40 points and crude oil fell $1.02 a barrel in April. The US Dollar Index fell by 0.110 and gold prices rose by $15.70 an ounce in April, with the price rising to a new record high. The weather remains mostly favorable for Brazil and Argentina and is considered pessimistic for row crop markets overall by DTN meteorologists. Grain trading remains mixed as wheat prices rise ahead of Friday's report, due out soon.

May KC wheat is down 1/2 cent per bushel, May Chicago wheat is up 3/4 cent per bushel and May Minneapolis wheat is up 3/4 cent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 3.24 points to 38,794.59 and the U.S. dollar index fell 0.260 to 102.57 and April crude oil fell $0.40 a barrel to $78.53. The USDA announced a second cancellation of an earlier purchase of soft red winter wheat by China: 110,000 metric tons (4 tons) of soft red winter wheat were canceled for 2023-2024, bringing the total this week to 8.8 million tons. Corn, soybeans and soy products are declining, while wheat markets are calm and trading almost flat.
Posted at 11:35 a.m. – April live cattle are down $1.10 to $187,625, April feeder cattle are down $1.03 to $255,275, April lean hogs are steady, May corn is down 1 cent per Bushels are down and May soybean meal is up $1.80. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 97.90 points. Bidding is currently underway in the South at $182, but with bid prices holding steady at $187 to $189, no cattle have yet been traded. The Packers' interest should increase this afternoon.
Posted 08:37 — April live cattle increased $0.60 to $189,325, April feeder cattle increased $1.35 to $257.65, April lean hogs increased $0.15 to $84,675 , in May corn was down 3 1/2 cents per bushel and in May soybean meal was down $1.40. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 5.24 points. Bidding is already underway in Kansas because the South does not yet have a cattle trade. On Thursday, northern cattle sold for $292, which was $2.00 more than last week's weighted average.
