NRN Editors Discuss IPO Rises, The National Restaurant Association

This week, NRN editors Holly Petre, Sam Oches and Leigh Anne Zinsmeister spoke about IPOs on the Extra Serving podcast, a product of Nation’s Restaurant News.

Two restaurant companies have recently announced plans or filed for an IPO: Cava and Panera Brands. There have long been rumors that Panera is targeting an IPO, and now they’re one step closer. Cava, on the other hand, has officially registered its IPO. Assumptions about his rating are everywhere. Are we back in an IPO frenzy like we experienced a few years ago?

Also, the NRN editors talked about the NRA show. The four-day show has just concluded and our editors have browsed the exhibition space and selected some of its highlights. What did our editors watch and what were some of their favorite moments?

Finally, the editors spoke about KFC and its chicken nuggets. Something that seemed like it should have been with KFC forever and has been awaited for a long time has already sold over 100 million copies in just under two months. The chain’s traffic has also increased by 8% over the same period. Is it the nuggets?

This week’s guest is Tina Gantz, Vice President of Franchise Development at District Taco.
