NCAA Tournament College Basketball Futures: Odds to Consider and Predictions for UConn, UNC at DraftKings Sportsbook

With the NCAA Tournament coming up this week, the market is in full swing DraftKings Sportsbook continues to be flooded with even more betting options. I have already I wrote down three different ways I support Kentuckybut here are a few more teams I have my sights on.

I gave up on the Final Four game when I bet on UConn to win the Big East, and now I'm adding another unit and putting some juice on the Elite Eight. The Huskies certainly had a tough loss, but they are still the best team in the country by a wide margin. The potential Sweet 16 matchup against Auburn is probably more of an Elite 8 game, but it doesn't change my opinion of the outcome. Grabbing the -160 prize to reach the Elite Eight is basically just skipping ahead to this game and taking a discounted money line along the way that I know I'll be there.

This time it was about even, and it really moved. The Tar Heels are definitely the weakest number one seed, but that doesn't mean they should have such high odds just to win three games.

I understand the downside of this team – I bet them several times in the game against NC State. But the first two games UNC plays will be in Charlotte against Wagner and then against either Mississippi State or Michigan State. Not a layup game, but a game where Carolina will be heavily favored at home. Assuming the Heels are a second weekend team, I really like the draw in the Sweet 16 game to move forward and collect on this bet. Alabama, St. Mary's, Grand Canyon and Charleston are the potential opponents for this game. Ranking 24th in offensive efficiency and sixth in defensive efficiency, this team is quite capable of making a run. Supporting them this way will avoid a potential matchup with Arizona or Baylor at the bottom of the standings.
