Lakeview Acquisition Corp. withdraws IPO

By Stephen Nakrose

The blank check company Lakeview Acquisition Corp. filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday to withdraw its proposed IPO.

The company applied for an IPO in May last year. At the time, Lakeview said it planned to offer 25 million units priced at $10 each, with a unit consisting of one common share and one-third of a warrant.

The company later reduced the size of its planned IPO to 17.5 million units at a price of $10 each.

Lakeview had announced that it was looking for companies in the US insurance sector as a merger target.
