IME spot trading down to $2 billion

Spot trading on the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) reached 634 trillion riyals ($2 billion) in the fourth calendar month that ended on July 22.
This was down 20% from the previous month, when 802 trillion rials ($2.5 billion) worth of commodities changed hands, according to IME data in the IME.
The deals included 8.84 million tons of goods and commodities – 18% down in volume on a monthly basis.
IME is a commodity exchange in Tehran established in 2006 to sell agricultural, industrial and petrochemical products on the spot and futures markets.
