The company, currently valued at $100 million, aims to expand its impact by becoming the gold standard for food safety and nutritional advice in Asia. The mission is to educate one million families in Asia through the Eating Right is a Lifestyle program by 2025.
The management team, consisting of nutritionists, physicians, nutritionists and naturopaths, explains its purpose as “to provide people with the latest nutritional information through technology and to prevent chronic lifestyle diseases and obesity”.
Farmz Asia is one of the few Southeast Asian companies to offer funded courses on “basic nutrition” and “healthy eating”. SkillsFuture Singapore’s quality-assured WSQ programs offer equal opportunities to learners regardless of their background.
The founders see potential for the company beyond an exit plan; they aim to benefit citizens worldwide. They recently turned down a $75 million acquisition proposal from a prominent player in the natural health industry to make way for the right partners that align with their vision going forward. Her vision is to give children the tools they need to make healthier food choices. Throughout 2022, the company will expand its reach to serve more SEA countries by offering courses through its “Lifestyle Super App”. Enterprise Singapore has announced it will support Farmz Asia’s efforts.
In order to bring about a massive change in children’s eating habits, scaling is essential. Technology offers the possibility to reach a wide audience quickly and efficiently. Farmz Asia is ready to deploy additional funds and cutting-edge technology to bring about meaningful change not only in Southeast Asia but around the world.
