In light of the CME Group’s advanced data for the natural gas futures markets, open interest rose for the second consecutive day on Friday, now by nearly 6,000 contracts. Instead, volume reversed two consecutive daily pullbacks and rose by around 237.5k contracts.

natural gas Prices briefly fell to multi-day lows near $8.30 to end the day on Friday with modest losses. The rebound was driven by rising open interest which should reveal the continuation of the uptrend in the very near term and with the next target at the 2022 peak near $9.50 per MMBtu (26 May).
