Around this time last month, we took a look at some of the NFL futures markets to see how Vegas viewed the Eagles after a transformative NFL draft. With the OTAs now underway, it’s time to revisit some of these markets to see if the betting markets are bullish or bearish on Sirianni’s herd.

MVP: Jalen hurts (+2500)
Before: +3000
Jalen Hurts has seen his MVP chances plummet over the past few weeks. It even ranks 13th in this market, which in itself is fascinating. For a QB many consider a bit off the NFL upper echelons, he has the 13th best MVP ratings. That says a lot about how fast the needle has been moving and the amount of talent that surrounds him now.
It’s hard to see that number going up over the next few months as the season approaches and public hype mounts. If you want to bet on Hurts success, perhaps there is no better time than now.
NFC East Winner: (+200)
Before: +250
NFC East’s winning market has also had its odds reduced. That makes sense. The Eagles landed James Bradberry between the publication of the last article and now, and his presence alone completely changes the picture on defense.
The Eagles are firmly in second place by the betting odds and that probably won’t change until September, barring injuries/trades at one of the teams within the division until week one. The number may change, but not by much.
Super Bowl Winner (+2800)
Before: +4000
Wow. The Eagles Super Bowl line is now 30% more expensive than it was a month ago. That’s really hard to understand. There’s clearly a lot of public hype surrounding the Eagles, and while Bradberry’s signing would have helped speed up the process, it’s such a big increase. If you plan on betting on the Eagles to win it all, doing so sooner rather than later could prove very valuable if this trend continues.
Most receiving shipyards
AJ Brown +3500
DeVonta Smith +7500
Despite the increase in Jalen’s MVP ratings, nothing has changed here. The sentiment seems to be centered on the QB and not necessarily the entire offense, which is even more interesting.
I find it really interesting that Smitty has more than twice as many chances as AJ Brown. I can’t really see either of them being the NFL’s best receiver as both will be demanding a lot of passes from Hurts. It’s more of a complementary partnership than a 1-2 tandem. However, DeVonta Smith, who broke the Eagles rookie record last year, definitely has the most value.
Defensive Rookie of the Year
Jordan Davis odds remain the same at +1600, but Nakobe Dean was +2000 last month. He is now +1400, more expensive than Davis, Who is a first round pick. Dean is absolutely better placed to win the award because of the type of production he can pull off than a monstrous DT whose talents don’t really correlate with pass-rushing stats popping off-screen.
The trend towards Dean could well be due to the confidence the Eagles have expressed in his ability to play this year. There were many concerns his injuries would see him sidelined for a significant period of time but when Howie doubled it’s easy to see why so would the bettors.
