Yahoo Finance's Brad Smith reports live from the Bitcoin (BTC-USD) Investor Day event in New York City and joins Hunter Horsley, co-founder and CEO of Bitwise Asset Management, to talk about Bitcoin ETF activity as traditional investors become more involved are encouraged to invest in crypto through ETFs. Bitwise operates its own spot Bitcoin ETF (BITB) and several crypto industry ETFs (BITC, BITQ, BITW, BTOP).
“The Bitwise Bitcoin ETF has grown to over $2 billion in assets in two months. It was one of the 25 fastest ETFs to reach a billion.” [dollars] “In the 30-year history of ETFs,” explains Horsley. “And what that means is a whole new class of investors who feel like they’ve heard about Bitcoin for a long time, but in 2024 they’ll finally be able to get in on it.”
Horsley also comments on Bitcoin price action and the likelihood of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approving a spot ETF for Ethereum (ETH-USD).
