Biden is the worst American president [letter] | letters to the editor

It can be argued that James Buchanan is the worst president in American history. In his 1961 book The Coming Fury, celebrated author and historian Bruce Catton describes the events leading up to the start of the Civil War. Readers usually leave an unfavorable impression of Buchanan.

There is another president from Pennsylvania who I believe is even worse than the 15th president and that would be President Joe Biden.

During his presidential campaign, Biden insisted on ending the use of fossil fuels. There’s not enough room here to enter commodities and futures markets, but you can’t cancel pipeline projects, terminate oil well leases, halt drilling on federal land, and limit offshore drilling without affecting fuel prices at the pump.

Former President Donald Trump (like him or hate him) did exactly the opposite and we had $2 gas.

Oil and natural gas are the energy sources that keep us healthy and warm and power industry and logistics everywhere. Reduce fuel costs and inflation is easier.

I believe Biden wants to hurt and punish us for being a prosperous, thriving nation. I think he wants us all to buy EVs and solar panels because he kind of thinks removing a mountain to mine for rare earths is better than digging a hole in the ground.

There are many other reasons not to like Biden, but because of his war on fossil fuels, I believe he is the worst president in American history.
