Ziroom also offers cleaning and maintenance services.
Chinese home-rental platform Ziroom is considering an IPO in Hong Kong that could raise around $1 billion (HK$7.8 billion) later this year, while online healthcare platform WeDoctor is reportedly planning a listing in the United States instead of Hong Kong considering.
SoftBank-backed Ziroom is working with Citic Securities (6030), Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to prepare for the listing and could file a preliminary prospectus with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as early as April.
At $1 billion, Hong Kong’s IPO could be its largest since EV battery maker CALB (3931) listed for $1.3 billion in October.
Ziroom was founded in 2011 by the late Zuo Hui, who also founded US-listed Chinese online real estate platform KE Holdings (2423). Ziroom, whose Chinese name “zi ru” means “carefree,” takes in homeowners who want to rent out their properties, renovates the homes, and rents them out to renters. It also offers cleaning and maintenance services for the tenants.
Meanwhile, Tencent (0700)-backed WeDoctor plans to seek a US listing, according to Reuters International Financing Review. Bloomberg previously reported that the Hangzhou-based company plans to file for an IPO in either the US or Hong Kong by the end of April.
