Africa startup Flutterwave Preservers with IPO plan

Flutterwave Inc., Africa’s largest startup, is moving forward with plans to go public after making progress in resolving allegations of financial impropriety in Kenya so the company can access more and larger international partners, its chief executive said.

Olugbenga Agboola, who is also a co-founder of the pan-African payments company, dismissed allegations that it had refused to respect former employees’ stock rights and that employees had been harassed and bullied, saying they were “very, very isolated, ” cases and they would not affect the proposed share sale. The company has received approval for the first step in securing operating rights in Kenya, a key African market, he said.
