In the connected economy today, State Farm is making a large investment in security company ADT as the companies join forces to provide better home security.
Additionally, consumer finance firm CreditCare Technology is partnering with MoneyGram to help the unbanked, and Bambuser and Perfect Corp are teaming up to offer an advanced user experience for virtual fitting sessions and shopping for Christian Dior customers.
ADT Secures $1.5B Investment From State Farm, Google
Security firm ADT has received $1.5 billion in investments from insurance giant State Farm and Google.
Most of this funding comes from a $1.2 billion equity investment by State Farm, giving the insurer a 15% ownership of ADT.
“Additionally, ADT plans to partner with State Farm and builds on its existing relationship with Google to explore the capabilities of combining next-gen security, innovative smart home technology and reimagined risk mitigation capabilities to monitor, detect, prevent.” and optimize against home ownership risks,” says the press release.
MoneyGram, CreditCare team to help the unbanked in the Philippines, Vietnam and Nigeria
Consumer finance firm CreditCare Technology partners with MoneyGram to further expand into emerging markets of Nigeria, the Philippines and Vietnam.
San Francisco-based CreditCare offers financial products like personal loans and money transfers to the unbanked.
“The partnership with MoneyGram is a significant milestone in our mission to provide comprehensive financial services to users in emerging markets,” said a spokesman for CreditCare Technology in a press release.
Bambuser is working with Perfect Corp to advance virtual fitting with Christian Dior
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) companies Bambuser and Perfect Corp have partnered to offer an advanced user experience for virtual fitting sessions and purchases, and are partnering with Parfums Christian Dior to offer clients private consultations.
By integrating both solutions, the companies hope to deliver a digital shopping experience where “hyper-realistic makeovers” are available in face-to-face interactive video sessions.
“By combining our respective expertise, we deliver another powerful solution that increases consumer satisfaction and trust, while providing brands with a sustainable option to conveniently and instantly showcase their makeup products for shoppers to try during online consultations said Perfect Corp Founder and CEO Alice Chang.
Bolt Helps Revolve Offers One-Click Checkout at Fashion Week
Checkout technology company Bolt has introduced Checkout Links, a solution for retailers that allows shoppers to checkout online and offline with a single click.
Fashion retailer Revolve will be one of Bolt’s first clients to use this tool when New York hosts its annual Fashion Week. Bolt’s technology allows consumers to scan a QR code that directs them to a pre-populated Revolve-branded checkout page for a one-click purchase.
“Retailers can convert high-intent shoppers by using checkout links in on-brand digital channels — like email, blog posts, and chat — so consumers can seamlessly complete their purchases,” Bolt said in a release.
Solera, DigniFi team offers vehicle repair financing to customers
Vehicle lifecycle management company Solera has partnered with DigniFi, a FinTech platform for the automotive industry.
The companies say their collaboration will result in Solera offering access to DigniFi financing options to customers in need of auto repairs.
“The addition of this offering is a win for Solera’s customers and car owners as DigniFi provides access to a much-needed financing option for millions of people unable to pay for an unexpected repair, deductible or unassisted body work,” said Alberto Cairo, Solera’s managing director for vehicle and fleet solutions.
