The third Investopia conference focuses on investment strategies in growth sectors of the new economy

Investopia will welcome more than 90 speakers from major global companies and host more than 40 dialogues and panels

The third annual conference of Investopia, the global investment platform launched by the government of the United Arab Emirates in September 2021, will take place on February 28 and 29 in Abu Dhabi under the theme “Emerging Economic Frontiers: Investing in the “New Economy” Growth Sectors“ instead of '.

The latest edition of the conference will once again bring together a wide range of investors, local and international government officials, experts, policymakers, economists and entrepreneurs from around the world.

Additionally, the 100 most promising companies selected by the Future100 initiative will participate in Investopia 2024 to gain insights and explore partnerships with investors.

The summit will take place in the presence of representatives of the joint initiative of the Ministry of Economy and the Government Office for Development and Future.

Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of Investopia, will officially open Investopia 2024 at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi in the presence of Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala, seven ministers representing several participating countries and other prominent signatories represented.

“Year after year, Investopia continues to consolidate the vision and policies of our wise leadership in transitioning to an economic model based on knowledge, technology and innovation. “It seeks to actively contribute to charting a new roadmap for investment in the new economy sectors, recognizing their crucial role in driving the sustainable growth of the global economy,” said Al Marri.

He added that over the years, Investopia has achieved significant milestones in improving connectivity and promoting communication between business communities in different countries, facilitating their access to lucrative investment opportunities in emerging markets and building long-term economic partnerships. These efforts are in line with the “We the UAE 2031” vision to strengthen the UAE’s position as a global hub for the new economy.

Three focal points

“The agenda of the third edition of Investopia, in addition to the Future100 initiative, focuses on three main areas of focus: global economic variables, capital movements and promising markets. Our aim is to encourage governments and companies to reorient their investment policies to adapt to and capitalize on new economic variables. In addition, the third annual conference will highlight development opportunities and potential in promising markets and promote capital flows into the new economy sectors. “In addition, Investopia will provide a platform for the Future100 companies, allowing participants to stay abreast of the latest investment trends and practices while expanding their network and partnerships with global investors,” the Economy Minister added.

Investopia's goal is to create an attractive regional and international economic climate and to open a broad investment portal for countries, investors, global business leaders, large corporations and financial, industrial and technology institutions to benefit from diverse global investment opportunities. The summit focuses on three main themes: Investopia Dialogues, Investopia Communities and Investopia Marketplace.

Leading experts come together

The latest edition of Investopia will feature more than 90 speakers from major global companies and offer more than 40 dialogues and panels on key economic and investment challenges and opportunities. These sessions will cover a range of topics including venture capital deal strategies; the growth potential for a low-carbon economy; the new generation of investments; the latest technologies in aviation and logistics.

Speakers include Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa. Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Abu Dhabi; Anthony Scaramucci, founder and managing partner of SkyBridge; Adam Goldstein, founder and CEO of Archer; Marilyn Paver, chief information officer of AIMCo; Eric Cantor, general manager and vice chairman of Moelis; and Antonio González, founder and CEO of Sunset Hospitality Group.

Investopia 2024's partner network includes several national and international public institutions such as Mubadala, ADQ, Crypto.com, Standard Chartered, City Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank and Emirates Development Bank.

Additionally, iConnections, Investopia 2024's fintech partner, will host a capital launch activity focused on capital raising and investment brokerage services in collaboration with SALT, the global investment platform.
