MEXICO CITY, May 19 (Reuters) – Mexico’s economy is likely to have grown a seasonally adjusted 0.4% in April from March, a preliminary estimate by national statistics agency INEGI showed on Thursday.
According to INEGI, economic activity in April is expected to have increased by 1.8% compared to the same month last year.
Mexico’s economy grew 0.9% in the first quarter from the previous three-month period, preliminary data showed last month, although the figure was slightly below forecasts. It was the first quarterly growth in three quarters.
