The head of Israel’s central bank and the finance minister meet to assess the economy and possible measures

JERUSALEM, Oct 12 (Reuters) – Bank of Israel Governor Amir Yaron and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich met in Jerusalem on Thursday evening to assess the current economic situation arising from Israel’s war with Hamas, said their offices in a joint statement.

Yaron and Smotrich discussed possible future measures to support the economy, the corporate sector and financial markets, they said.

The two have held several talks since the war broke out on Saturday and said they would continue to do so regularly.
