Kamlager-Dove, convention leaders, promote green economy at LA Cleantech Incubator – Los Angeles Sentinel

Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37), Congressional Black Caucus Chair Steven Horsford (NV-04), and Congressional Hispanic Caucus Chair Nanette Barragán (CA-44) joined forces to support the Tout the benefits of the green economy and the Inflation Reduction Act.
During an April 1 press conference at the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI), convention leaders joined LACI CEO Matt Petersen to discuss how key provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act are helping to advance clean energy and transportation electrification solutions in urban communities and create opportunities for cleantech entrepreneurs to scale their innovations and create green jobs for Americans.
Representatives from three agencies working with LACI were also in attendance – Lacy Reddix from Olokun Minerals, Kameale Terry from ChargerHelp and John Jones III from East Side Riders Bike Club. Additionally, Kayla Mullins and Marco Jegknes shared their experiences of LACI’s internship program.
LACI offers a range of programs. The agency works with startups to accelerate the commercialization of clean technologies; transforms markets through catalytic partnerships with policymakers, innovators and private sector leaders in transport, energy and sustainable cities; and empowers communities through workforce development, pilot projects, and other programs.
